Characterizing Automatically Maintained Self-Injury With the Aberrant Behavior Checklist

In this webinar, attendees will learn about several subclasses of self-injurious behavior (SIB) based on prior biobehavioral research and distinct response patterns within the functional analysis, and autonomic correlates of SIB in individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) based on the Aberrant Behavior Checklist. Attendees will also gain insight into correspondence between ABC subscale elevations and subclasses of SIB (automatically-maintained SIB; social SIB) in a sample of individuals with IDD, and thus the potential utility of the ABC for improving the efficiency of clinical procedures for assessing and treating SIB.
