Strategies to Validate the Service Facilitator Model
This webinar is a participative discussion of how to initiate this research; a discussion for providers, researchers, and policy makers about how to conduct the research and to join in to be a participant (or recommend others) in this effort.
The Facilitator role provided by many agencies to assist people and their families locate and effectively utilize supports and services on both a daily and long term basis as well as the related components of the Support Coordinator role funded to provide “case management” by State IDD funding systems needs research to validate which components are useful. This is critical as CMS and State IDD systems discuss social determinants of health and how to assess (and access) them for people with IDD.
