Description:
In this webinar, the presenters will describe the strengths, struggles, and desired supports of 20 LGBTQ+ adults with I/DD who participated in a collaborative interview project. The webinar will include information on how family members and disability professionals can better support gender and sexual expression for LGBTQ+ people with I/DD and how organizations and agencies can create policies and training that promote gender and sexual self-determination. The presenters are Pauline Bosma, the founder and coordinator of the Rainbow Support Groups of MA, and Oscar E. Hughes, a trans special education teacher and PhD student.
