Kathy Varner is a SIS Training & Development Specialist at AAIDD.
Her previous positions include Training and Development Coordinator at
the Developmental Disabilities Resource Center (Colorado) and Principal,
KVM Services (New Mexico). She first qualified as a SIS Assessor in 2006 and as a SIS Trainer
in 2008.
Kathy earned a bachelor's degree in social work from Mount Marty
College (South Dakota). She was the recipient of the AAIDD Exceptional Service
to the Association award in 2014, and was named a Fellow of the Association in 2026.
