E-Learning and Continuing Professional Education

What is Online Learning?

Online learning is individualized education through the internet. You take courses at your own pace–and at the times most convenient to you.  Courses are accessible 24 hours a day. You can start and stop when you need to; you do not need to complete a course in a single session. 

What Courses Are Available?

Are CEUs Available?

More than 300 of the courses are accredited by national and state organizations.  Courses in the library are search-able by accreditation status, so you can easily find courses that meet your continuing education requirements.

Are the Courses Cost-Effective?

The cost of courses varies, but many are available for around $10.  AAIDD members enjoy a 10% discount on all courses. Members can call 1-800-424-3688 ext. 203 to get the online code to receive the discount.

Are Training Packages Available for Organizations?

Essential Learning offers e-learning solutions for agencies with Elevate, a comprehensive online training and management system with advanced reporting and monitoring capabilities for tracking course completion and compliance with licensing mandates.
