Calling All Members: Grow Your Association!
This winter, we are calling on you to help grow AAIDD. As a member of the Association, you already know how important AAIDD has been to your career- providing you with innovative resources and connecting you with a circle of fellow IDD professionals. Show your commitment to evidence-based knowledge by helping to grow your Association and expand your network of friends and colleagues.
With each new member you recruit or reinstate between January 28th and May 15th, you will receive one entry into a drawing for our fun prizes featuring AAIDD Board Members, to be gifted at the 143rd AAIDD Annual Meeting June 24-27, 2019 in The Twin Cities, Minnesota. The top three recruiters will also be recognized in our July issues of Member Update and on the Association Facebook and Twitter accounts. (Winners also earn bragging rights!)
Your Referral Toolkit
The tools below make referring your friends and colleagues easy. Simply share an email, pass out a few physical copies of our membership form, and share the social graphics on your social media accounts.
Be Sure to Receive Credit!
In order to receive credit for the referrals you provide, please be sure to take one of two actions:
1). Complete the “referred by” field on the PDF copy of the Membership Form before handing out to friends and colleagues.
2). Ask your referrals to email email@example.com mentioning your name as a reference after they join online.
- You must be a current member in good standing with the Association to receive an entry into the drawing.
- Only membership applications received during the campaign period will be counted towards the campaign.
- Prizes will be drawn the week of June 2nd. Winners will be notified in advance by email or phone.
- Prizes cannot be swapped.You must be present at the AAIDD Annual Meeting in June to receive your prizes.
- Campaign rules and prizes are subject to change at the discretion of AAIDD.

Enjoy a conversation over a meal with Amie Lulinski, Project Manager of the State of the States Project at the Coleman Institute for Cognitive Disabilities, and Leonard Abbeduto, Director of the UC Davis MIND Institute. Maybe try the French cuisine at close by Meritage.
Admire Art with Alex and Anthony
Walk, run, or roll down the street to the nearby Minnesota Museum of American Art with Anthony Rodriquez, Assistant Professor at the Providence College Providence and Alexandra Bonardi, Director, National Core Indicators, Human Services Research Institute. Prize includes trip to Museum and light drinks and snacks.
Tea with Liz Perkins
