9:00 am - 12:00 pm
Religion and Spirituality Interest Network Forum (Cost $30)

Strengthening the Professional Role in Inclusion
While there has been measurable positive engagement of faith communities in the lives of people with I/DD, many possibilities remain. This forum will invite discussion seeking to clarify the purpose and mission of the AAIDD Religion and Spirituality interest group, and create a framework for future initiatives. Key questions will include:

· What is the unique position and potential of this professional interest group?
· Where are the needs for future study, publication, or resources?
· How might we better leverage and communicate the work that has been done?
· What is the potential of religion and spirituality groups relative to ethical and public policy issues affecting people with I/DD? Is there a role for this interest group?
