Assistant Professor, Special Education

Calvin College is seeking a full-time regular faculty member to join the Education Department to teach Special Education beginning in August 2018.  The opening is at the rank of Assistant Professor. 


Education and Experience

Faculty members are expected to demonstrate excellent teaching ability, including experience in P-12 teaching, and a track record of (or strong potential for) scholarly work. All areas of Special Education expertise will be considered; expertise in Cognitive Impairment/Intellectual Disabilities is preferred. Successful candidates will have a PhD (or ABD). The department seeks persons who are dedicated to the integration of their Christian faith and Special Education.
